Lake Pleasant, in Peoria, is the second largest Arizona lake  in the  Phoenix area.  Just an hour from downtown, it is a very popular lake for boating, water sports, fishing and swimming. We love the water and spend many weekends at Lake Pleasant. It is our favorite lake in Arizona for boating.

Nestled within the sandstone Papago Buttes, the Phoenix Zoo and the Desert Botanical Gardens is Papago Park. An urban park in Phoenix with family friendly hiking trails.

Lace up your boots. Grab some water and lets get hiking! Phoenix has some of the best urban hikes. Just a short walk or drive depending on your base and you can be hiking on one of the areas beautiful trails.
