For a fee you can purchase an annual America the Beautiful Pass card. This card will allow access into all National Parks within the United States. In addition, it gives you admission to National Monuments and some historic sites.

Arizona Federal Recreation Lands and The America the Beautiful Pass

The America the Beautiful pass can be used at national forests and grasslands, and at BLM land. It can be used in the following areas within Arizona but with limitations:

  • Tonto National Forest
  • Coconino National Forest

Tonto National Forest Pass

The America the Beautiful pass can only be used within the Tonto National Forest for the picnic areas only. Otherwise a Tonto Daily or Annual pass is required. These passes can be purchased at several retail locations.

If you have an America the Beautiful pass you can use this for the following picnic sites within the Tonto National Forest:

  • Needlerock, Rattlesnake, and Yellow Cliffs in Cave Creek
  • First, Second, Third Crossing & Waterwheel, and Christopher Creek Day Use area in Payson
  • The following sites in Mesa:
    • Acacia Picnic
    • Blue Point
    • Boulder Picnic
    • Butcher Jones Picnic
    • Coon Bluff
    • Goldfield
    • Granite Reef
    • Laguna
    • Palo Verde
    • Pebble Beach

Coconino National Forest

Your America Beautiful Pass can be used in lieu of the Red Rock Pass, with limitations. You cannot use the pass at Beaver Creek, Crescent Moon Ranch, Call O’ Canyon (West Fork trail),Slide Rock State Park, Crescent Moon and Grasshopper Point.

The pass cannot be used at Arizona State or County Parks. These will have their own fees.
