The largest park in California, Balboa Park, is home to the San Diego Zoo, dozens of museums and several gardens. If you have never been here than it is worth a visit. You could spend your entire San Diego, California vacation at Balboa Park and not see everything there is to see.

Chiricahua National Monument: Where to See Eerie Hoodoos
Who knew that hoodoos were in Arizona? You can see these fascinating rock formations in a few places throughout the world. In the U.S. they are most famously photographed in Utah. However, we don’t even have to leave the state to see these eerie formations. These fairy chimneys can be seen at Chiricahua National Monument. The hoodoos here are rhyolite and gray in color.

Yes, you can ski in Tucson, Arizona. However, we prefer to drive the 25-mile byway in the summer for cooler weather. This winding byway trail ascends 9,157-foot Mount Lemmon in the rugged Santa Catalina Mountains.
