Travel Adventures in Europe

We loved visiting Italy and enjoyed every place we were fortunate to visit, however out of all of the areas we visited the Amalfi Coast was our favorite. The scenery is absolutely stunning here. This region had the best olives, limoncello and some really yummy desserts. The Amalfi Coast is world renowned and it is easy to see why so many people love this beautiful region in Italy.

Italy’s major cities get the most attention, but smaller cities around the country have some beautiful and unique places to explore. Some of our favorite spots in Italy were the ones we found off the beaten path. We took some day trips from Rome, Naples and Florence while we were in Italy and these were some of the most fun adventures.

Rome is one of the most popular tourist destinations and with very good reason. It is a city filled with history at every corner.  Explore the side streets and eat like a local. Not only is it an amazing experience it cuts down on the costs.

Rome was our home base in Italy for five days. From Rome we decided to travel south to Naples as we call it in the U.S. However if you want to navigate the train system in Italy it is helpful to know the names of the cities, not just the U.S. version. To get to Naples look for a train to Napoli.
